How we walk our path post-ceremony will often determine the value of our medicine work.

It is very common to find that we don’t relate to things in the same way as before working with Ayahuasca. This can be wonderful and liberating as well as confusing or even upsetting at times!

A basic definition of integration is “to combine two things so they become whole”. We naturally do this in life as we take in new information, grow and make changes. And this is also an open-ended process that continues throughout our lives. Possibly you have some good ways to support this process, but also like most of us, you may have unconscious habits of stacking experience upon experience without any processing.
So becoming consciously active; through practicing your self-awareness throughout the day, questioning your tendencies and making changes where needed, making time for self-reflection outside of life’s demands, seeking answers and having patience for fruition, are all the next steps towards the realization of change.

We’d like to offer some ways to further
integrate what you may have connected with.

– The dietary guidelines post retreat are encouraged for up to a week post retreat and are based upon what is traditionally known to maximise the effects of Ayahuasca healing. This allows for the medicine to dissipate more slowly from your being and thus giving more time for gentle integration. Following the diet even after you return home can be a reminder that you are still very open and sensitive.. If you received guidance about your health in ceremony, follow that.

Cultivate and/or maintain a personal practice, something you do regularly that encourages reflection and introspection, at a protected time where you can nurture your connection to yourself. This could be lighting a candle on a small altar each day to give thanks or meditate, taking time every morning or evening to write in your journal, or giving yourself the space to take a walk outdoors each and every day to marvel in awe at the beauty of this magnificent earth, and even receive a message from nature.

Seek out your community! Relations with others can be challenging on return as you may not relate to your old friends or your family in exactly the same way that you used to. It can be disheartening when experiencing a lack of connection or understanding from those close to you who haven’t experienced what you have. This can affect your healing process.
Think about reaching out to those you met during your retreat and joining some groups where you can communicate openly and authentically about your experiences and feelings. Even welcome to reach out to us!

Connect with nature – nature is an extricable part of healing and indeed a big part of our daily existence here in the forest. Connect with nature where you are, it’s everywhere! Continue to foster your relationship with plant spirits who continue to work with you after you leave here! Pay your respects and honor the work you have done and journey ahead.

Seeking for guidance through other resources. Spiritual life wisdom is vastly available through books and online resources.

Take care of yourself! Be kind to yourself! Remember who you are! A vast being of beauty and divine perfection, a human full of grace. Foster your values and allow yourself to listen, learn and change!

We are happy to continue to support you in your integration process and healing journey. Please feel free to reach out if there are things that you wish to share, questions you wish to ask, or simply to say hello. Please know that the connection to the Forest will always be there for you.
