santo daime

The Santo Daime tradition is one of the major paths followed by people around the globe. It is a new emerging doctrine of the sacramental usage of the Amazonian brew originated in the 1920’s.
Mestre Irrineu Raimundo Sierra received a message from the “Queen of the forest”, the entity that represents the essence of the brew to start a new religion based on singing songs received from the Divine realm. It is a new doctrine embracing the symbolism of Christianity with the wisdom of the forest and the African deities brought to Brazil by the African slaves few centuries earlier and widely integrated in the Brazilian belief systems. This symbolic platform allowed the Santo Daime church to spread as an official religion throughout the world.
The hymns of the Santo Daime are songs of devotion, praise, forgiveness and love usually sang in orderly manner, they often contain subtle teachings and able to open many doors throughout the Divine realms. They are usually simple and beautiful, but contain the vigorous force of life and may receive infinite meanings every time they are looked upon. When we sing the Santo Daime hymns we open our hearts and our souls to receive the teachings of Ayahuasca, and sometimes we dance to create a mandala of living light.
