Accommodation
Florestral Forest Community is located in the Southern Pacific zone of Costa Rica. The Land is about 3 hours from San Jose where the International airport is located and is between the city of San Isidro del General and the beach/surf town of Dominical. There are a few public transport options available from the International airport in San Jose. We provide more detailed information during the registration process.
Payments are non-refundable, however you can change your dates without penalty. If you need to cancel your booking, you can rest assured that you can reschedule it for any other date. We require a 35% deposit from the retreat price to guarantee your place in the retreat. You can bring the rest of the payment in cash with you, either US$ or Costa Rican Colones.
Please make sure that your US$ are not torn nor have any writing on them, as we will not be able to accept them.
If you decide to participate in one of our retreats then the first step would be to fill the registration form for that particular retreat on the Retreats Schedule page on our website. Immediately after we receive your inquiry, a member of our team will get in touch with you and send you a pre-screening form to understand your intentions and identify any potential complications.
This will offer the opportunity for personal communication where you can ask questions and relate any concerns. You will be provided with all practical information that you may need regarding preparing for the experience, what to bring, how to get to our center and how payments are handled.
Following and if confirmed, you are invited to pay the deposit to secure your place in the retreat after which you can happily pack your luggages.
We can host both small and large groups in our temples, maximum capacity would be of 50 people. Generally during our retreats we have 10-20 participants.

We do offer the possibility to join in only one ceremony, however it depends on the number of people attending that particular retreat and their requirements. We recommend attending an entire retreat when wanting to have a deeper journey, as you have more time to understand and get comfortable with the style of space holding and time for your personal integration. It is possible during longer retreats to have time to go out, and it is your choice to fit it in with the proposed schedule. During the personal process it is not always advised to leave as it can be distractive. We would like you to discuss options and plans with us when you arrive.
During our retreats season, we usually have on site trained medical staff. We keep a stocked medical cabinet to cover first aid treatment. In case of emergency, rest assured that we have a vehicle on site ready to go anywhere needed and the nearest hospital is just 30 - 40 minutes away.
We do allow women in their monthly cycle to participate in ceremony. A woman’s monthly cycle in early days can influence the experience of the first ceremony, being such a powerful energy. We advise against participating in an Ayahuasca ceremony on your first day of cycle, however there is a certain flexibility around it. Please make sure you inform the facilitators about your situation prior to participating in the ceremony
In order for you to receive the best care and the most positive an safe healing benefits from the ceremony, it is of utmost importance that you communicate with the facilitators openly about any medications that you are taking or have been taking as well as any physical or mental issues that you may be dealing with.
Yes, you can bring your partner or children to Florestral. Please make sure you email us first on info@solcircle.org to check if we have enough room to accommodate you and your family.
To join us as a volunteer, you need to first email us at info@solcircle.org stating your request to volunteer and your intended dates, if you know them, and we will send you a questionnaire to answer.
After we receive your answers, we will send you a confirmation for your volunteer program request, as well as detailed information about all the practicalities regarding joining us here in the forest.
Our requirements are a minimum of 1 month commitment, good health and a positive attitude, and enough funds to cover your stay and participation in ceremonies. For us to host, live and work in harmony together we ask you to please keep in mind that volunteers are required to fulfill the hours that they have committed to.

Yes, we have high speed wifi that is available in the communal area. We recommend using the time at our forest sanctuary for inner reflection and connecting with the beautiful nature and people in the retreat and giving yourself the opportunity to disconnect from the outer world and its distractions.
