Mahashivratri is the day to honor and celebrate Lord Shiva, a way to honor life and celebrate existence. It is a very special night celebrated all over India and so we choose this day to hold Ceremony in our Shiva Temple.

The position of the constellations on the night of Mahashivratri is considered very auspicious for meditation. It is advisable for people to keep awake and meditate on Shivaratri. We spend this night in circle, consecrating with the Sacred Medicine of the Forest, around the Holy Fire in the center of the Temple, chanting all night;  singing praises to the Divine and invoking the energies of this holy night.

Mahashivaratri is the Great Night of Shiva, landing on the 25th of February.
