Beginning the day in silence

Before the day fully begins, we meet at the Fire Temple for an hour long practice; to sit in silence for 20 min, just enough time to drop into presence, then we sing 3-4 songs and close the practice by offering a blessing for the day.
So simple
And so effective
Even if your mind is racing with all kinds of headliners, eventually the silence breaks through - even if just for a fleeting moment, you see it - it is there!
Even if your mood is leaning towards the downside, a few songs will prop it up
And the reminder from a heartfelt blessing, nurtures the sense of connection and gratitude
Micro-dosing with Ayahuasca
The morning meditation is accompanied by a teaspoon of Medicine, for those that like.
When consuming a micro-dose of medicine alongside meditation and having a specific intention can guide the benefits you receive.
For instance, when addressing specific health concerns, improvements have been observed in individuals experiencing sleep problems, and symptoms of Parkinson's have been lessened.
Micro-dosing aids in preparation before, and integration after, participating in Ayahuasca ceremonies.
It alleviates symptoms of depression, reduces anxiety, assists with grief and overall helps one connect with their inner voice.
The dosage never needs to increase, on the contrary, one's sensitivity to it amplifies.
We hold the meditation with Medicine consecutively for 3-4 days of the week.
Taking some days off from micro-dosing are as important as doing it consecutively.
At SOL, we have termed the intentional use of Medicine for microdosing as the "spoon protocol".
By setting an intention and dedicating time to immerse yourself, a sacred space is created for you to commune with the Medicine.
The effects are subtle and as we have seen, very beneficial for helping one to walk in peace.
This can be done for certain periods of time without any dependency.
We are always willing to open a discussion with anyone who may benefit from this practice.
