The Sacred Fire

Fire, in all its manifestations, embodies the essence of spirituality—transformation, purification, illumination, and divine connection.

Fire is not merely a physical element, it is a conduit to the spiritual world, a channel for prayer and communication, especially potent when set with intention.

Always present at the center of our Ceremonies -

be it the flame of the candles upon the altar,

the flame that lights the sacred smudges,

the fire within the Octagram-shaped “duni” at the Fire Temple,

the fire of the sweatlodge heating the stones,

the bonfire beside the ceremony space where we sit to connect with the earth and stars conversing with our spirit,

the fire that guides and accompanies the Vision Quest

the fire that brews the sacred medicine

- All these fire have a sacred purpose, to awaken an ancient memory embedded in our soul.

The Fire represents so many things; truth, inner light, the resilience of the spirit, and the eternal flame of the soul.

And all fires are related - the great flaming Star that is our sun - the pulsing fire within the earths core - the fire we light in our ceremonies - to the sacred fire within our hearts.

This fire is the engine of Spirit of Life force, creativity, transformation

By tending the sacred flame within us, we find a path to inner illumination

By nurturing in our hearts this eternal light of the divine, we receive spiritual renewal.
