Celebrated in the East, it is a day to honor Teachers and Gurus

In Sanskrit, Guru means ‘one who dispels darkness’.

A spiritual teacher is one who brings the light of truth to the mind and heart, and opens the way for deeper inquiry and discovery of self and the mystery of the universe

All across our lives different teachers may have impacted our journey in positive, inspirational and motivational ways.

The intent of Guru Purnima is a celebration of the wisdom that guides our lives.

When we honor our Gurus and Teachers, we are also honoring the journey of life and learning!

It is also an opportunity for self-reflection upon the teachings that we have integrated into our lives.

May we remember this day, the invaluable role our mentors play in shaping our destinies!

And may we commit ourselves towards continuous growth and learning, both spiritually and intellectually.
